Motivations for Reading Information Books Among Adolescent Students

This study began with constructing measures of students' motivation for in school and out of school reading of information texts. We attempted to assess students' motivation on eight constructs including four affirming: intrinsic motivation, self-efficacy, valuing reading, and peer acceptance of reading and four undermining: avoidance, perceived difficulty, devaluing reading, and peer rejection of reading.
